Has it really been 20 years since Amanda Woodward first appeared on our TV screens? "Melrose Place," FOX's campy soap, debuted in 1992 and introduced us to the attractive residents of 4616 Melrose Place.
Heather Locklear, then best known for her stint on "Dynasty," starred as conniving vixen Amanda Woodward, after originally signing up for a limited four-episode run. Locklear became a full-time cast member -- yet she continued to be billed as a "Special Guest Star" -- until its cancellation in 1999. She was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama for her work on "Melrose Place" -- in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996.
Andrew Shue, a relatively unknown actor at the time, starred as struggling writer Billy Campbell and stayed on the show for six years.
